Weekly Reading and Writing Skills Club

This class is listed due to several students requesting a weekly class.
We will meet as a group once a week. Each week, we will discuss a different part of early reading or writing, and practice our English skills as we learn. Each class will focus on one part of the English language or literature.
Every week will include one of the following topics, on a rotational basis .

Using adjectives to describe something or someone
Creating a character
Parts of a sentence
Creating sentences
Using verbs
Conjugating verbs
Identifying the subject of a sentence
Identifying the verb of a subject
Compound subjects
Compound verbs
Writing a short story together
Learning prepositions
Creating character dialogue
Using pronouns
Using punctuation in sentences
Identifying and using adverbs
Creating a poem

These classes will be fun and engaging, and will include games or projects. If anything is required, it will be announced prior to the start date. The most that would be required is paper and a pencil or crayons. Students are welcome to join at any time, each class does not build on the prior class, so they will not be left out.
