In this class, we will explore 4 fictional books in a fun, club-style class. There will be no formal assignments or grades, just fun discussion and optional activities! Students will be able to lead the discussion based on their observations and what they enjoyed, but I will also have some open-ended guidance questions in case we need extra discussion material. We will talk about student’s favorite and least favorite parts, characters, and how we can apply the lessons we learn in the books to our lives. We will also play Kahoot to practice some comprehension. The goal is to foster a love of reading in kids without them being weighed down by annotation and other assignments.
NOTE: Students will need to read the assigned book BEFORE the class so we can discuss it!
