During online one on one private tutoring sessions, I will help students in 1st grade- 5th grade practice and grow in reading, reading comprehension, writing, and/or math.
Prior to our first meeting please provide me with details as to concerns, skills you would like us on work, goals and any data you have available about your child’s current abilities. If your child has an I.E.P I can also focus on I.E.P reading, math and writing goals. If you do not send the skills you want your child to work on, we can discuss it during the first class or I can assess your child and choose a skill to focus on.
I strongly believe that we can work together as a team. I can offer guidance to parents/guardians on how to support progress between tutoring if requested.
I am a veteran teacher with my Masters degree in Education with a focus in Special Education. I create close bonds with my students and encourage them to always do their best.

I am the teacher your child will never forget!
I have a patient teaching approach and strongly believe in verbal praise, positive correction and having fun while learning. I hope to build students' confidence and inspire them to learn. As a teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child engage and having that "Light bulb" moment when they understand something.
I graduated from Virginia State University with a Masters in Education with a focus in Special Education. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Recreation and Physical Education. I have been teaching elementary school for over 17 years. I have taught students in general education and students in Special Education. I have taught in both private and charter school settings.
In my everyday life, I am a wife and mother of one sweet 11 year old girl. I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my family.
