Happy Halloween! In this 4 week flex class, students will learn how to create simple but adorably spooky Halloween craft decorations using basic craft supplies and household materials that will be sure to amaze their family and friends. Students will also be taught the concept of creating depth within the staging of a scene, how to the use of colour can create different lighting effects and moods within a piece of art, as well as learning the fundamental art and science concepts of shadows, lighting, colour contrast, dimensional space, and more. All crafts featured in this course will require minimum, basic materials that should already be on hand in your home, but comparable substitutes can be made at the parents discretion. Please consult the Materials/Learner Supply List section in this course listing for a complete list of the required materials for the craft. NOTE: Printable Templates will be provided in the lesson content in the Sutori classroom link.
The students will be shown a new craft project to complete each week/lesson via a step-by-step video instruction posted by the teacher on Sutori, using the teacher code provided after the student enrolls in the course, where they will also find printable templates and instructions (where applicable) and be able to view, read, and answer short quizzes on the art/science concepts of the week. They will also be prompted to interact with the other students in the course by posting photos or videos of their completed crafts on our classroom gallery in the Outschool classroom page, and by writing a positive comment on at least one (1) other students craft(s). Please refer to the learning materials tab for a complete list of materials that you will need to make all the craft projects featured in this course.
