Class Experience:

This On-Going class does not build upon previous weeks or present a sequential curriculum. Each class is student led and based on the current moods of learners.

Have you ever wanted to use art to show how your feeling, but you weren’t sure what color to use to fully express your true emotions?

Each week, students will ponder the emotions they’ve experienced through the week, then determine which colors to use to express those feelings. After they have chosen their Emotional Art Color Wheel, they will let their creative juices flow in an artistic genre of their choice.

Each student can create their emotional art in any of the following forms:

— Freehand Drawing/Sketching
— Coloring (Blank Page or Coloring Sheet)
— Oil Painting on Canvas
— Finger Painting (Artist’s Choice of Canvas)
— Paper Mache
— Construction Paper Designs
— Sculpting
— Or a combination of any of the above

Students will always be encouraged to explore and nurture their creativity in any format. As long as it is safe, I will never compromise a student’s artistic integrity.

At the end of each class, students will be given the option to present their work with a brief, verbal Artist’s Statement. This presentation is optional. Students will never be asked to participate more than they are comfortable with.

I spent most of my youth as a "Professional Student" (my Mom's term to describe me). I was constantly enrolled in a class or workshop of some kind. I have always had a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. Now, with the knowledge I've gained, I have a new love. Teaching others has become the brightest part of my life so far.

I never forget that each and every student in my class is somebody's whole world...and it's always an honor to be their Teacher.
