Class Experience ?Ongoing Class? Open Enrollment? We will meet once a week.
This is an ongoing class but I do encourage learners to attend each class if they are able to. It is recommended that before a learner takes this class that they know majority of upper and lowercase letters. It is also recommended that students know how to write letters for the most part because we will practice writing sight words during class.
At the beginning of each class we will say hello to each other and will review class expectations. In this ongoing class students will be introduced to 5 pre-primer sight words each week. Sight words are words that should be recognized by sight and these words will help learners learn to read. Learning sight words typically requires repetition so we will have some repetition throughout each lesson using the focus sight words for the given week

Hello, my name is D'Toya Dove and I just finished my 16th year of teaching Pre-K.
I received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from North Carolina A&T State University, along with receiving a Master’s in School Administration from Gardner Webb University. I am so excited to teach and make an impact on each student that enrolls in one of my classes on Outschool. Thank you for allowing me to play a special roll in your child’s life I do not take this responsibility lightly. I will give each child my best in each class that I teach on here.
I believe students learn best when they are more involved in the learning that is taking place.
