PAINTING CARTOON PORTRAITS FOR KIDS

For Kids 4- 8 yrs

In this fun class we combine Cartooning with Painting and children create portraits of their favorite cartoon characters or design their own, and transform them into fully scaled finished paintings. Children learn how to paint colorful Superheroes or fantasy characters and set them in fantasy worlds. Learn how to manipulate your character’s features to illustrate personality and individuality or superpowers! How to draft a portrait out first in pencil, before moving onto painting your subjects on canvas. Essential painting techniques will be covered in our course: we explore color mixing, texture, brushwork applications and how to capture textures like eyes, hair, skin tone and fabric in clothing and costumes. At the end of the course, you will have some super cool portraits to hang proudly in your home
