It’s a magical time when your child takes up a brush and uses paint for the first time- Who knows where it might lead?
Our beginner’s course includes everything a beginner needs to know to master and develop painting skills: How to work on a canvas; sketch out your subject; highlight shape and form; Use light and shadow; how to evoke mood + tone; how to create dynamic compositions using a focus point with perspective to add depth. We demo color-mixing, brush applications and professional techniques + look at a variety of painting styles. For subject matter we will work with still-life objects or pictures to motivate our compositions.  In a full-class course, children develop confidence and will be inspired to create their own fully realized paintings.
