Camp Reece is a sleep-away camp for individuals with disabilities from age 10 through 17. Our camp is located in the Adirondacks which provides an ideal setting for our campers and enables us to offer a wide range of activities. Each of our programs are designed to meaningfully engage campers while teaching new skills, building confidence, improving self-esteem, encouraging social-emotional growth, and, of course, having fun!
With a camper to counselor ratio of 8 to 3, we ensure attention and differentiated instruction, individualized for each camper’s experience. Our skilled and caring staff members differentiate instruction and modify activities whenever needed to ensure campers of all levels, abilities, and ages can participate fully and successfully. We acknowledge every accomplishment and never miss the opportunity to provide positive feedback and recognition.
Campers will leave Camp Reece equipped with new and developed skill sets that they will bring into the world. Through an exploration of various arts, campers will garner hands on experience in culinary skills, graphic design, photography, woodworking, and many more! Our weekly adventure trips in the heart of the Adirondack Park include whitewater rafting, high ropes courses, biking, trips to theme parks, and more! Campers will also be able to explore some of their favorite sports like soccer, tennis, swimming, and some camp originals.
Your camper is sure to discover new and exciting possibilities, stretch their boundaries of what can be achieved, and gain a lifetime of memories of fun with friends they will carry with them long after summer’s end.
