All About Alaska: An Introduction to America’s Last Frontier

Explore the history, wildlife and splendor of America’s “Last Frontier”. Students will take a virtual field trip to Alaska. We will journey into the past and present of the 49th state. This is an interactive lesson. Students will get to answer fun and interesting questions about Alaska. Did you know it’s illegal to whisper in someone’s ear while moose hunting? Students can test their knowledge while learning more about this scenic state.
We will begin class with a quick interactive introduction to Alaska.

Top places to visit and see in Alaska
Animals of Alaska
Alaska trivia

This 45 minute course will feature PowerPoint slides that include videos, historic content and interactive features. The classroom also features a live moose cam. Keep your eye out for moose or other wild animals that want to join our class.

Learners can expect to answer multiple choice questions at the beginning of the course. Other sections that offer multi choice questions include the Fun Facts and Alaska Trivia sections. This will allow students to interact with the teacher and other students.
Class will end with an open discussion. Students can ask the teacher any questions they may have about Alaska.

No prior knowledge of Alaska is needed for this course. Let’s have fun and journey into the wilds of Alaska together.
