With a bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and an in-process Master's in School Counseling, I know how vital social-emotional learning is. It can actually improve students' academic performance, relationships, and overall well-being! I have worked with children from preschool to 8th grade. I believe every student is an individual with their own learning style, personality, and interests. For this reason, my classes are always differentiated for the learners in my class. I enjoy teaching social-emotional lessons such as Stress Management, Responsibility, and conflict resolution, to list a few. I also value social connections that children need to bring warmth, empathy, and joy into their lives. Therefore, I also enjoy having social clubs such as Morning Meeting and Friendship groups.
