I offer your student private online tutoring sessions in 30, 45 or 60 minute increments.
This one-hour block will be reserved for a “one-student-at-a-time” model to assist with any writing assignment or other writing activities.
Students can sign up for just one session, or a number of sessions, as it will be based on individual student need. Please also feel free to request other times that may suit you better.
Students will be able to:
1. Submit rough drafts for one-on-one review and explanations of corrections and revisions needed.
2. Provide assignment descriptions for a review and explanation with ideas to get started.
3. Provide assignment descriptions and rough drafts, or other work completed, for a review on meeting the requirements and parameters of the assignment.
My feedback will be provided in a guided “tour” of the paper, writing activity, and/or assignment sheet in order to show the student how and why to fulfill the requirements of the assignment. Students will make the corrections themselves as we review and speak, together, to ensure that we always uphold the academic integrity of the assignment.
I will also answer questions, provide mini-lessons (if students need further clarifications on ideas), and provide a post-session report so students have a record of their time and if students are required one by their teacher.

I would love to teach Basic Essay Writing classes, Literature (reading, discussion and critical commentary) classes, as well as Creative Writing classes for Outschool.
I have been an English teacher on the secondary and post-secondary level since 2008, teaching courses in Composition, Literature and Writing. I have a BA in English, an M.Ed. in English and a Post-Graduate Degree in Curriculum Design and Teaching Pedagogy.
My teaching philosophy is that students are partners in their learning. Teachers must act as guides and allies through the learning process, never to demean or demotivate, but to praise and encourage. Each student is unique and needs individual attention to ensure their specific learning styles are taken into consideration.
I am a newly published fiction author and I have also been a part-time professional musical theatre actor.
