Students will be taught the 50 states that make up the United States of America as well as the capital city for each state. Students will also become familiar with locations and be able to locate each state on a U.S. map. During class activities know as “Road Trips”, we will be discovering landmarks across the country and learning fun facts along the way.

Using Flashcards, worksheets, videos, games, open discussion, music, participation, repetition and repetition (LoL ?), students will work towards learning the names of every state and their capitals in a way that is fun, interactive and engaging. This method encourages students to study deeper into the subject, thus expanding their knowledge and love of learning.

Students will be given worksheets to complete between classes. These worksheets are to reinforce what was covered during the class and to keep the lesson fresh until the next class meeting. Students should be prepared to have regular homework and daily study time to gain the full benefits of the class.

I spent most of my youth as a "Professional Student" (my Mom's term to describe me). I was constantly enrolled in a class or workshop of some kind. I have always had a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. Now, with the knowledge I've gained, I have a new love. Teaching others has become the brightest part of my life so far.

I never forget that each and every student in my class is somebody's whole world...and it's always an honor to be their Teacher.
