Let’s Play Minecraft: Building Competition! Online Arts, Online Classes, Online Life Skills, Parties, Special Needs $12.00 - $12.00

  • Ages: Preschool, Gradeschooler

(6-9 years old) Hello, Minecraft gamers! I’m sure you love to build? Well then, join in a friendly building competition! The winner gets a 25% coupon for any one of my classes (or the first meeting of that class).

Please read everything for a better experience for everyone.

𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭: Each week will be a different theme of what to build. Otherwise, students will be doing the same thing (building competition) every week; learner-directed. Students that join in during any period won’t miss anything. This can be a come-and-go class or stay the entire time. Students will have a blast each week!

𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬, I need every student’s Gamertag for Minecraft. The guardian, or learner, can send this to me. If I do not have the student’s Gamertag, I cannot invite them into the Minecraft world for class.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐮𝐧:
Everyone has 5 minutes to join the class. No one will be able to join after that time as it will disrupt the class. Within those 5 minutes of class, everyone will say “hi” and introduce themselves. If I do not have a Gamertag yet from some students, they can input it in chat during those 5 minutes. If I don’t have a Gamertag from students in class, they will only communicate via microphone. They will be very, very bored. To ensure that doesn’t happen, please share the student’s Gamertag with me before class.

After those 5 minutes, all students will disable their cameras but keep their microphones on. Cameras being disabled (turned off) is a requirement as I can’t supervise children via zoom (chat will be only to host) while playing on Minecraft and supervising them there. If students do not know how to turn off their cameras, I can do so myself. I will not be screen sharing, nor anyone else.

Students will be talking while playing, but they may use the chat in Minecraft if they want to.

Everyone has 35 minutes to build. After those 35 minutes are up, students have 8-10 minutes to vote on which build they think is the best. They are not allowed to vote for their own as that would be cheating. Once the class is over, all students will message me via Outschool telling me the student they think had the best build. I do this so all votes are kept private.

Within 24 hours after the class is over, I will message all students, letting them know if they won or who won.

𝐀𝐧𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞: All students will keep their microphones on, cameras off, zoom minimized, and play on Minecraft.

Playing Minecraft and having zoom up on the same device is not suggested as I’m not sure this would work well, depending on the device you’re on.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰:
– Meet once a week
– 45 minutes long
– Has 35 minutes to build
– Has 8-10 minutes to vote
– Students can’t vote for their own build
– Students message the teacher their vote after class
– 6 students max
– 2 students minimum (or the class is canceled)
– Can join the world by invite only (to increase world security and privacy)
– Creative mode only

𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦:
Windows PCs, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Smartphone, Series S/X, iOS devices, iPadOS devices, and Android devices.
(I play on Minecraft: Windows 10 Bedrock Edition)

𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 (𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞):
– You are confined to your own building space until it’s time to vote!

𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞:
There are 6 building spaces, one for each student in the class. If the class is not packed (6 students enrolled – 2 students minimum), I will participate in the building competition. If the class is packed, the students will be the only one’s building.

The winner gets a 25% coupon that they can use for any one of my classes (or the first meeting of a class). If there happens to be a tie, both students will receive a 25% coupon.

If the student is enrolled in the class, but it turns out they can’t play because of their device, I will give a full refund once the class is over.

I teach drawing and arts and crafts classes. I absolutely LOVE arts and crafts! I love making simple crafts before holidays (Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.). I find it very fun 😁🤩 and relaxing 🤗😇 to decorate around the house. Also, I have a huge passion for drawing. 🖍️✏️ I love drawing and sketching almost everything and in various styles, from cities to landscapes 🏙️🌆, people to animals 🧍🐇, anime to kawaii, and so on. 🎂🌋😸🎃

I also teach more classes around several different interests/hobbies. ✨😊 An example of some of those are: Minecraft, movie/show fans, trivia games, and show and tell.

A bit about myself: I have an associate degree and a 150 hour TESOL/TEFL certificate. I am currently working towards a Bachelor of Arts in English and Literature. I have the most experience teaching children 11 years old and under. For the last two years, I've taught children, ages 6-11, how to draw numerous things and use anime and kawaii style. When it comes to teaching children, I feel that things should be planned to have fun. 😄😄 This helps keep their genuine excitement 😮🤩 and interest growing in the subject matter. A fun fact about myself is that I have a huge passion for flying and studying aviation. 👩‍✈️✈️ I am going for my private pilot license (PPL), which will make my dream of traveling the world much easier to achieve. 🗺️🎫
