(5-10 years old) In this class, students will be learning some basics of American Sign Language (ASL). They will learn their ABCs and numbers 0-10.
What to expect in class and what order:
1) I will teach them the ABCs. They will learn beneficial details while signing their ABCs, such as needing to keep their hand as still as possible when signing and how to sign double letters (“d-oo-r”).
2) I will teach them numbers 0-10.
If we have time left over, we will do one or both of the following:
1) We will spell names and random things such as king, cat, fish, door, rain, baby, etc.
2) We will play “Simon Says” using numbers and letters. Example: Simons says… “show me number one,” “show me number four,” “show me letter a,” “show me letter q,” etc.
